Every Final Fantasy since FFII has had a character named Cid. Which one was your favorite?
Personally, FFIX's Oglop Cid FTW. I loved him. Sure it was kinda cheesy. A bug, then a Frog, finally back to a man. But it was a fun character. And a powerful ally. Him blasting in with the Lindblum armada at the end when the party went into Memoria was just awesome. I'll give an honorable mention to FFVII's Cid, may favorite character from that game, and FFXII's Doctor Cid. I liked this change especially. Cid as a bad guy was an interesting deter from the usual pattern, and I found him to be an interesting villain at that. |

Cid Highwind ftw. I love that foul-mouthed, grizzled old badass.
Oglop Cid from IX gets an honorable mention. He was pretty cool, although at first I thought he was a stupid character. I also liked XII's Doctor Cid. He was eccentric. ^_^

I liked FFVIII's cid. He was sort of a grandfather figure, which I thought a character as whiny as Squall REALLY needed. It seemed to me that he helped hold the garden together through all of the difficulties.

^Not to jump all over you, but what exactly did Headmaster Cid do? He hid in his room and made a 17 year old kid run the garden. He is by far my least favorite Cid with a personality.

To me, he always seemed to have a presence. Also, he knew the truth about the teamm and gave him a respected level of salutory neglect, as a father training his son to be something powerful.
