In all of the KH series, though especially with CoM and up, there is a huge emphasis placed on "memories". Are memories important to you? Do they mean something?
The creators of the game (mainly Tetsuya Nomura) had a point in placing so much emphasis on them; all of the references weren't put in there for no apparent reason. I want to figure out what it is. |

I think good memories are important to me. I think that the Kingdom Hearts games put so much emphasis on memories because memories are a fragile thing. They can easily be forgotten or remembered clearly, but that doesn't change the fact that those moments happened, those moments still exist somewhere in our hearts even if we don't realize it. That's what I think Tetsyua Nomura was trying to depict in Chain of Memories and a little in KH2. : )

Memories also help you grow on the inside. And if they are good memories, they make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Huh. I dunno; I never really thought about it, Nobody13. Thanks for all of the great answers so far!
I also *happen* to have a few more... So, good or bad (because some memories that are bad do aid in growth), memories are considered important to an extent because they aid in growth; memories allow you to learn. What about in terms of friendship? Whew. I'm going to have to take this one question at a time if this is going to be comprehensive at all.... ![]() |

Those moments still exist somewhere in our hearts even if we don't realize it...very well said. I assure you, we won't get off topic, because this is the topic... do you think that there is a correlation between either the heart and the spirit, or the heart and the soul? Why?
In addition, I just want to know what you think about the concept of the heart in general as it pertains to the game; why is a heart so important? |

I think that hearts are so important in these games because your heart makes up the type of person you are. If you have a good heart, you're a good person, and if you have a bad heart then you're a bad person. Then there are the unfortunate people who don't have hearts, so they feel like they don't know who they are. I think that's mainly shown in KH2, with the Org. 13 members. They're not really good nor completely evil, they're just those without hearts.

So what does the heart correlate to? I think that FF (and perhaps disney, although we all know that FF is the real brains behind nearly this entire operation) has attempted to make a direct connection between the heart in that world and the heart in this one, but I'm not sure. If so, the only things that have made sense thus far (in a metaphorical sense): the correlation between the heart and the spirit, OR the correlation between the heart and the soul. What do you think?
